Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from music press and bloggers. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered an old grand piano hidden in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not as a job or a hobby however, as a chance to develop. So she started with her own music. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she composed were not meant to gain fame for her however, but to encourage people to realize the value of themselves and their impact to our world at large, she began performing them publicly. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. Her family didn't hear about her music until she reached 14. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. Her sole passion is to write music. To her music, is the best way to express anything.
