Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive She has also received a number of grants and is the recipient of many honors both national and internationally. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the world regarding policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
